PhD and Post-Doc Positions are Available in Condensed Matter Theory

A PhD and a PostDoc position are available in the Computational Materials Physics Group at IZTECH. The focus of our research is electron and phonon transport in low dimensional systems. Please visit cmp.iyte.edu.tr for information about the group activities. 

The successful candidates are going to work for project funded by TUBITAK. The main tasks include analytical calculations as well as development of computer codes for quantum transport.

The PhD candidate is expected to have a degree in a closely related field, to have a solid background in condensed matter physics and experience with computational techniques.

The successful postdoc candidate should have a PhD degree in computational materials science or a related field (physics, chemistry). Ability to develop computer codes (ranging from small scripts to medium size programs) is desirable. Experience with many body physics and Green function techniques will be an advantage. Good communication skills both orally and in written English are required. The initial appointment will be for one year with possible extension to three years.
